I like the idea you start of with. I like the pattern and the detuned off cilter tone off it. The the thing I really wanted to see was some more development of the song. You brought some interesting stuff with some ambience in the back ground to won leading into a new melody, however, it doesn't feel like pushed it far enough and is missing farther development it could have had. This piece work for its purpose and function to set the tone of a scene, depending on what you want for your game.

This is pretty good. I like the glitch step effect/sounds that was going on. Also like the touch of the background sine. I just kinda of wished you expanded on the melodies tried more stuff with that kind of glitch audio aesthetic. Maybe even played around the melody or switched up the rythem. Either way, this sounds like some good background music for a flash game. Just would like to see more expanding. Good job!

decoyultimatum responds:

thanks and your right its kinda plain jane. when i was making it i was trying to expand on the original melody but i got stuck and decided that for now it was good enough

I really Like this alot! I don't know what's intentional and what's not but this feels beautiful for its simplicity naturalness of it. The song feels like it embraces the little imperfection of the sounds quality and really sounds well. Kinda of reminds me of mumblecore films that accept simple realness of simple everyday life and bring life to it. Only thing I would have to say is what wingowinston said about bring out the words or articulate the word better so the lyrics can be heard. Other than that, stellar job!

It sound very well. Transitions are pretty good but i think you can elaborate more on this track. It has some good potential. Just start building up to a melodic climax. Over all its pretty good. Keep it up :)

camoshark responds:

Thanks for the compliments, I'm glad you enjoyed the overall sound quality considering the use of soundfonts!

As for elaboration, it's in the plans, I'll PM you when it's done!

Thanks again for the review, I'm glad you enjoyed!

Sounds great! restart in the loop was very good and not noticeable. Transition were nice but for me, it would be better if you started building up to something in the song and then let a melody emerge from one of the channels but over all i cannot complain. By the way, were did you get the percussion for this loop ? I have been looking for a good 8 bit percussion set.

Special-Ed responds:

Something I try to do when making loops for video games is not make any "landmarks" as I call them (parts that stand out and make obvious when it loops)

As for the percussion samples, I made them my self with a free program called SFXR.

good luck!

love it! Your music is so amazing to me. It actually inspired me to try music of my own. As far is the song , it really fits in well with the sonic game thou it is not the most memorable track you have made. I still enjoy it thou.

What got me hooked

This was the first song of yours I heard. I felt like i was flying through the sky when i was listening. Since then i got hooked on your music./

The sound is 8bit, if not it fooled me. But the drums im not sure about. But remeber the nes could only have max 5 channels of music.
